Full use is made of the resources of the British Library patent collections, and of the numerous intellectual property websites through which abstracts and full specifications can be accessed. Registry number and structure searching is carried out for chemical substance searches, and DNA and protein sequence searches are used for biotechnology subjects when appropriate.
