| VICTOR GREEN & COMPANY was founded in 1986 with the aim of providing skilful, resourceful and cost-effective information retrieval and analysis in all fields of science and technology.
All inquiries receive the personal attention and supervision of the directors, Victor Green and David Clarke, or of the Principal Patent Analysts, Milan Bhattacharyya and Davinia Collyer, as regards choice of strategy, execution of search, quality control, and presentation of results. Every effort is made to satisfy our clients' precise requirements and deadlines.
Patent searching involves two independent informational tasks, the preparation of a retrieval strategy and the assessment of the retrieved documents. In our patent searches, the traditional skills of sampling and classifying are amplified by the construction of complex class and keyword combinations, taking advantage of the growth in databases which contain the full text of patent claims and descriptions. Retrieval is followed by individual inspection of the documents for their relevance to the request and full use is made of the numerous intellectual property websites through which documents in many countries and languages can be accessed. Registry number and structure searching is carried out for chemical substance searches, and DNA and protein sequence searches are used for biotechnology subjects when appropriate.
On the following pages we outline our approach to searching, discuss some of our services
in detail, and provide a profile of our staff. Please contact us if you require any further
information. Free estimates will be provided on request for any specific inquiry.
We offer a wide range of patent and technical literature searches, including:
